As many already know River Valley Mx is hosting the 2009 River Valley Race For Cancer Research to be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 28th and March 29th 2009. Most people have been touched in their lives in one way or another by the horrible plague of cancer whether it be yourself, a family member or a friend. River Valley Mx and The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders are combining efforts to hold this huge event to raise money to make a difference on what the future holds for this terrible desease. All proceeds from the race will go to The Center to help get us closer to having more cures. David Lux lost his brother and his mother to cancer so their family has been touched considerably by this desease.

Liz Lux has been working around the clock putting together some incredible things that will make this event go down in the history books like no other charitable motocross race event. As we put together the details I will post them on the RV website and in this thread.

The first item of interest  will be a RAFFLE held during the INTERMISSION between Motos 1 and Motos 2 during Sundays racing. The item is a Honda 2009 CRF250 dirtbike. YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT A 2009 HONDA CRF250. The RAFFLE tickets can be purchased at the River Valley Mx track or by emailing Liz Lux at llux@sbcglobal.net The tickets are just $10.00 per RAFFLE ticket. All Proceeds from the sale of the RAFFLE tickets will Benefit the Cancer Education and Research Foundation of Texas. (CERFT). The drawing will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at River Valley Mx during the Intermission between motos 1 and 2. RAFFLE tickets will be on sale beginning today, Sunday February 22, 2009 and will end on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 1:00pm. You do not have to be present at the track to win however you will have to pick the bike up at the track if you are the winner.

You wont want to miss this. This is an excellent cause and River Valley has really stepped up to the plate to make this an OVER THE TOP EVENT.
